Black Jack is a sweet boy. He loves everyone and is good with cats and dogs. But he loves best of all his real life son Mickey. They love nothing better than to snuggle together and would love to be adopted together to keep each other company for the rest of their lives. They have been through so much, it would be a shame to separate them.
Black Jack was surrendered by his young owner, an 18 yr old when he had to move. His parents would not allow him to take Black Jack with him. He knew about people dumping cats and he didn’t want to do that to his kitty. Commendable. There are many young kids who would not have been that responsible.

We don’t know what attacked him when he was a kitten. Was it the TomCat that had it in its mouth when the Good Samaritan showed up? Or was he injured by nasty neighborhood kids that are abound in that area? Or did a hawk, looking for food, attack him? Was the TomCat really just trying to carry the injured kitten to safety? Whatever it was, when the Good Samaritan shouted at the TomCat and he released the kitten. There was blood everywhere. He was rushed to the vet. Against all odds he didn’t die that night. His time was not up. He healed well but his left eye was lost and he sustained a bit of nerve damage on that side of his face – it does not hinder him in anyway. He’s not handicapped. He’s just fine ~ he just is a one eyed cat. He has also healed well emotionally from that horrible day and is today a sweet house cat. He is a little shy at first but with love and caresses warms up quickly.

Pebbles thought that the warm engine of the car was a safe place for her kittens to be. Little did she know that it could also be the death of her and her little family. And indeed, one of her kittens lost a tail to such an injury. When all her babies found homes, Pebbles was left behind. Few people want adult cats, even if they are beautiful like Pebbles. But it is her time now. Won’t you find it in your heart to give this young lady your love? She will tolerate other cats but prefers to be an only kitty. Children should be 6yrs old and over.

Molly was found taking cover in a drainage pipe where two teenagers on either end were shooting BB guns at her and laughing. A Good Samaritan came upon the scene and threatened them with the police. The boys ran off likely to torture another helpless victim. It took a while to coax little Molly out. Luckily she sustained no permanent physical injuries but emotionally she was a wreck for a while. Loving care nurtured her back to trusting her person and today she is a loving lap cat. Molly needs a calm home. No dogs or very calm small dogs. She is good with most cats.

She knows how to enjoy life. And just like a kitten she’s too busy with life to like to be held a lot but she LOVES to be petted and caressed. Her best friend is Piper. They snuggle and sleep together and they groom each other. Though they can be adopted independently, they would love it if they could be adopted together.

Miss Celie was found starving and sickly. By the time her rescuer found her she was near death. She couldn’t have survived much longer on her own. Purring her little head off while her foster mom nursed her back to health she eventually made it back from the brink. Her favorite place to rest was her foster mom’s chest. Perhaps the rhythm of her breathing soothed her. Whatever it was it helped her heal and grow healthy again. At bed time Miss Celie’s most favorite place is in her foster mom’s embrace. Miss Celie is looking for a calm home, without cats and without dogs. Children should be 6yrs old or older and calm.

Macy was found so tangled up in a sheet of plastic that she couldn’t find her way out nearly suffocating in the process. Still has a fascination with plastics so plastic bags and other types of plastic sheeting have to be kept away from her.
Macy is an independent young lady. She is too busy to stay still for long but will love her chin rubs and head petting. She was raised with a little Chihuahua and her best kitty friend Macy. They play and wrestle and enjoy each other’s company.

Stacia thrown out by her owners at a very young age. Luckily she was found early enough not to go wild. She loves her foster sister Macy and loves to wrestle and play chase with her. She is a very busy young lady and stops long enough for a kiss and a chin rub before heading on for more fun and games.

Raven has a playful, kittenish personality and she loves to be held and petted. Raven was dumped by her owner when it was evident that she was pregnant. Not wanting to bother with kittens it was slothfully easier to dump her than take responsibility for her and her unborn babies. Once rescued she was able to have her babies in safety. She had three. Two were adopted. She and her son Bailey are still waiting for homes of their own.

Micah is sweet, good with humans, playful and good with other cats. He was born at the edge of the woods to a mom who was very sick and who had run out of strength to find a safer place in the woods. His siblings died one by one. It was heartbreaking but she did not have enough milk to nourish them and the kitten formula came too late to do them any good. But Micah survived and grew into a strapping young man. His rescuer didn’t have enough money to get him vetted at a regular vet so he was neutered at a trap/neuter/release facility and got his ear clipped as if he were a feral cat. It is barely noticeable. And no, he is not feral but a loving, secure, lap cat.

Nola was a stray. When she scratched a child, she was quarantined for 10 days. She had had to live on her own for a while and was afraid. Children in that neighborhood were not nice and lived to terrorize the abandoned pets. She had no reason to trust anyone. But after a while she saw that her new people meant her no harm and she began to relax and trust them. She is a playful, sweet, lovable lap cat.

Boots is a big gentle, loving boy. Seems to get along well enough with cats and small calm dogs. He is great with people and doesn’t really need another pet for company. He is the perfect companion. Wants to be with you but not clingy. Because he’s not happy to have to live in a crate right now he’s banged up his nose a little. He will be very happy to be adopted to someone real soon and get his life back.
Boots was a stray for about a year. His people left him when they moved. Why is a mystery. He is so good and they had already neutered him.
